Kobe Bryant gets offer to play for his dad's Italian team

It is highly unlikely that Kobe Bryant will play beyond this current NBA season if he does not make the 2016 US Olympic team.
But if he does, a team in Italy is waiting for him.
For those who don't know, Kobe grew up in Italy, his father played there after his NBA career and he speaks fluent Italian.
Italian club Viola Reggio Calabria, a team Joe "Jellybean" Bryant played for in the 1986-87 season, sent Kobe a warm letter and offer per TMZ Sports.
"Dear child of Reggio Calabria, fantastic Kobe, on this most beautiful stretch of land that is full of affection for you we close our eyes and dream.
There will always be a home for you at this great club on the Straits of Messina. Our dream might be too big but maybe it is the same dream you unknowingly had as that 8-year-old boy in the picture.
We want you to come home, to wear our colours, to represent our city, just as your father did before you. There is a black and orange family waiting for you, with the same name on the back: 'Bryant.'"
Although Kobe may never play for a team outside the NBA, this letter is the latest of great gestures honoring the career of the Black Mamba. Take a look at the full letter here
