'Love and light and dreams for 2016!' Naomi Watts wishes her fans a Happy New Year... as she poses with her family in Sydney

She's spending time Down Under with her family over the Christmas and New Year break.

And on Friday, British-born and Australian-raised actress Naomi Watts, 47, wished her fans all over the world a happy New Year as she saw in 2016 in Sydney.

Pictured posing on a boat in front of the iconic Sydney harbour bridge, the actress beams for the camera alongside partner Liev Schreiber, 48, and their sons Alexander 'Sasha' Pete and Samuel 'Sammy' Kai.

The King Kong star captioned the shot: 'Happy New Year!! From Sydney Harbour... Love and light and dreams for 2016!!! #goodtimes #happy #newyear #sydney #2016.'

Their lookalike children were dressed in shorts and t-shirts and visors.

It appears the image was taken on Thursday, with the clan being spotted that same day and in the same outfits on board a water taxi.

Later on Thursday, the blonde and her boys were seen arriving at model Kristy Hinze-Clark New Year's Eve party.

The bash was also attended by the likes of Terry Biviano and footballer Anthony Minichiello.

Naomi and her brood first jetted back to Australia from the US - where they are based - two weeks ago.

She recently visited her old high school, Mosman High School, and posed for a fun selfie in front of the sign and the family have also enjoyed trips to the beach.

More recently on the work front, Naomi has just wrapped shooting the upcoming drama film, The Book Of Henry, where she plays a single mother.
